Evoᶾ differs from other olive oil brands on the market not only because of its high quality and innovative products, but also because of the environmental and social causes behind it. The heart of evoᶾ is its concept. For every product sold, a tree will be planted in a deforested area in Haiti, Ethiopia, or Madagascar, and a donation will be made to the American Association for Cancer Research.

Our young company has its roots in both family heritage and Greek tradition. We are Katerina and Filanthi Bougatsou, two sisters from the small town of Gargalianoi in western Messenia, Peloponnese, where our family has owned olive trees for five generations. We continue this tradition with the support of our father, aiming to create a unique olive oil with its own identity in terms of both quality and aesthetics. We cultivate the trees of our grandparents with love and attention, combining the best of established cultivation practices with new, improved certified methods.

It all started in 1935 with 15 acres of land covered with olive trees, most of them wild, which were later grafted with the local Makri variety. Our family business has now been dedicated to cultivating Makri olives in the northernmost region of Greece for eight decades. Always aiming for high quality and environmentally friendly practices, we combine our significant experience with a constant search for new techniques to improve the production process.

Olea Groves is located in an ideal coastal climate in the Peloponnese peninsula in southern Greece, a region with a long history of olive oil production. For several centuries, our 80 acres of fertile land have hosted thousands of fruitful Manaki and Koroneiki olive trees which are cultivated under our care following the strict rules of traditional farming. Two hundred of these trees are at least 2,000 years old.

Nestled into a hillside covered with olive groves in the village of Anoskeli in the Kolymvari Protected Designation of Origin (PDO) in northwest Crete, the Anoskeli S. A. company’s modern facilities produce award-winning extra virgin olive oil and wine. While smaller than its petroleum and shipping enterprises, the Mamidakis family’s olive oil business has grown large enough since its founding in 1983 to produce an average of 600 to 700 metric tons of olive oil annually for both domestic use and export.
